For generations the Virgili family has created delectable Italian sauces, dishes and recipes.
Located on scenic El Paseo, Ristorante Vittorio is an excellent choice for anyone looking to enjoy a great Italian restaurant in Palm Springs.
When the restaurant opened, for an elegant touch, the owner would sprinkle rose petals on the front sidewalk every morning. On the inside, sky blue drapery and Mediterranean statues make up the décor, while an inviting atmosphere sets the scene.
On the Menu
The Ristorante Vittorio serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The breakfast menu is comprised of a variety of egg dishes, gravy-topped goodies, biscuits, buttermilk pancakes, fancy benedicts - including the Popeye Benedict with spinach - and Italian toast made with famous Indio dates.
For lunch, there are an assortment of soups and salads. A couple of choice favorites include buffalo flavored mozzarella atop freshly sliced tomatoes and a versatile arugula salad sprinkled with parmesan and slathered with lemon vinaigrette. Also delectable are a selection of wood-fired pizzas ranging from vegetarian to meat lovers to good 'ole fashioned cheese.
For dinner, there are a variety of veal and chicken dishes including osso buco upon request. Pasta dishes include lasagna, rigatoni, fettuccini, penne, gnocchi and ravioli with anything from butternut squash to fresh Maine lobster to Italian pancetta. Two of their highly praised sauces include Bolognese and Marinara. One of the newest dishes is the fish cacciatore. This fan favorite includes white sole in a simmered red sauce with fresh peppers, onions and lemony sprinkles. For dessert, the tiramisu is always a fine choice.
Over the span of a few short years the Ristorante Vittorio has gained prestigious recognition as an upscale Italian restaurant amongst the local community as well as travelers from afar.
From Caliente Tropics Resort Hotels it's roughly three miles. Head east toward S. Calle Paro Fierro, left onto S. Sunrise Way, and then right onto El Paseo.
